Message from the SOEPHE Chair

Dear SOEPHE members,

The summer is over, cooler days are approaching, and that means it is time for the annual AAP National Conference and Exhibition (NCE) which is coming up soon in San Diego, California.  The programming is exciting. Join us for our annual poster session on Monday, October 5 to learn about work being done and to meet and greet colleagues. I am looking forward to seeing many of you there.  

I urge you to connect with us in other ways as we move ahead. It is you, the membership, that drives our agenda and our activities. Please join us in our educational and membership committees and in responding to requests for involvement in our activities. And we are now beginning to plan for the 2027 NCE - workshops, sessions and even posters. Help us be creative to focus on and highlight the work in public health that you do on a daily basis.

And if you have a focus on methodology and/or want to learn more about how AAP is using the GRADE approach for systematic review and guideline development, we want to hear from you as AAP moves ahead in this arena.

We are looking forward to advancing public health through collaboration with AAP advocacy initiatives as public health in this critical time. Please be certain that you are registered to vote for the 2026 upcoming elections; to get your colleagues, friends, neighbors and family ready to vote and then comes November - VOTE.
